All was satisfactory, no improvements needed.

The breakfast was really tasty and sensational especially boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, and cheese they served were nice. The location of the hotel was great - not very far from Kurfurstendamm. The service was nice with parking at the front of the venue. Furthermore, check-in in the evening was a bonus...
No.

hotel itself is indeed a little old, inside it is nicer than it looks from the outside. Great location, less than a 5-minute walk to several bus lines, or 8 minutes to the S-Bahn with which you are immediately in the city center. Breakfast buffet maybe not as extensive as at other hotels, but consistently delicious. Luggage can be locked next to the reception on the day of arrival / departure so that you don't have to lug it around. Good and cheap places in the area. So if you don't need / don't want 5-star luxury, the Lichtburg is a good choice, especially the price / performance ratio. We would stay there again at any time.
it all worked out fine, actually. if there is one point of criticism you should look for, it is that the tv in the room has only 16 channels. 3 of them are sports channels (not my case) and "blockbuster" channels like wdr and mdr. In times of satellite tv and streaming this doesn't have to be, but there are worse ;)

Breakfast was OKAY, otherwise more middle standard than better standard. Bathrooms were clean, but also in need of renovation. The rooms were spatanisch furnished with more or less cheap and older furniture. But still the price-performance ratio has to be considered. And the price was OKAY, only the hotel was not worth 3 stars.

The hotel is located in a prime spot, just off Kurfurstendam, making it convenient and interesting. It is a 2-minute walk from the metro station and a 4-minute walk from the bus station to Tegel Airport. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with functional bathrooms and good water pressure in the showers. the staff provides friendly and helpful service. the breakfast offered is plentiful and tasty.
Some guests have reported poor service at the reception desk, with staff repeatedly asking for confirmation of their stay.

It was a good price/service combination. Hotel is at the good location (just a ~200m away from U-bahn station) and very close to the Kudam street. Street is nice and quite calm. There is a nice bakery just next to the hotel and a market at the end of the street. Hotel is clean and service is pretty good. The bathroom has a hairdryer.
If somebody wants a fancy designed and new hotel than this is not the place, but if you want a clean place to sleep and shower and a good starting point for the city sightseeing than it's an excellent choice.

I am happy that I stayed in the hotel. It has nice facilities in room, very clean, comfortful and cheap. I would like to stay again if arrive in Berlin and strongly recommend others.
I did not like that internet for laptop users in room is too costly. Otherwise only one computer for browsing free.

The proximity of two U-bahn stations, There were plenty of free parking places on the street so no need to pay for parking. The staff at the reception are very polite. The 1h free internet terminal is enough if you just need a quick access to the internet. Very clean room - well done.
The breakfast costs 8 euro per person while I could pay less than 5 next to the hotel in an excellent coffee shop. Although there was a free internet terminal at the reception the 9 euro cost per day for room internet I think is expensive.

The lobby, with its relaxing area and breakfast, is beautifully designed, featuring lovely light decorations. It's the perfect space to enjoy a drink or use a computer. The rooms, although small, are tastefully decorated with good quality sheets and blankets. The internet is incredibly fast and stable, with no need for a password. The breakfast, while not extensive, offers a high-quality buffet with a good selection of brands, including six varieties of tea and delicious juice. Additionally, the checkout time is at 11 am, but you can request a free late checkout until 2 pm or even later for 15 €, which is a fantastic offer for those with night departures.

A little worn-down hotel, but the rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and english-speaking (most of the time).
No a/c - but that's ok for the price, I guess.

The price (we got a 56% off)
We had to pay for internet (8€/hr or 13€/day) The furniture was a time trip "back to the 70s"
